The 4th CDO Roundtable was held in Tokyo on Wednesday, November 1st, 2017 by CDO Club Japan.
This time, we invite Dr. Taro Kamioka, CDO Club Japan’ Advisor and professor of Hitotsubashi University Graduate School, Mr. Tsuguhide Nagase, CDO at L’OREAL Japan Group and people from the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd., KDDI, Sanyo Foods, MetLife Insurance K.K., Lawson, PARCO, PwC consulting, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry who play key roles in each organizations also attended this Roundtable.
During the Round Table, we had a significant discussion about potential of business opportunity driven by utilizing data and also limit of understanding consumer insight. Moreover, we discussed about positioning of CDO role in organization.
Also, CDO Summit was held in Toronto last week and Public Relations Officer who attended on it reported how it was. The key point is that the numbers of women who become CDO is relatively larger in Canada and one of its reasons is that it is considered that they tend to have good communication and coordination skill which are vital ability to play a CDO role.
