The 5th CDO Roundtable was held in the co-working office “The Garage” that is owned by Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group in 25th January 2018 by CDO Club Japan.
This time, we invited Dr. Taro Kamioka, CDO Club Japan’ Advisor and professor of Hitotsubashi University Graduate School, CDOs from Mitsubishi-UFJ Financial Group, KDDI, electric utility companies, Parco, Suntory, Sansan, Mitsubishi Motors, Mitsubishi Corporation, Fujifilm Corporation and also Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. And this time, David Mathison, CEO & Founder of CDO Club Global and Amy Yee, Chief Digital Officer at Health Standards Organization, Ottawa who Seri Nabeshima who is a board of directors of CDO Club Japan did the interview in Toronto last October and she kindly accepted our offer to come to Tokyo. We were so delighted that David and Amy explained about the trend of CDO and responsibilities and role of CDO.
Moreover, Hirofumi Aihara, who leads digital transformation at Mitsubishi UFJ Finantial Group, explained us the case study of digital transformation in the organization and also the future plan that lead a significant discussion about potential of business opportunity driven by utilizing data and also limit of understanding consumer insight. After that, Tsuguhide Nagase , who were Chief Digital Officer at L'Oreal and was chosen as Japan CDO of the Year 2017 joined to the RoundTable and we enjoyed further discussion.
